Irmgard. Ein Alphabet des Gedenkens

Irmgard – Ein Alphabet des Gedenkens dieses projekt besteht aus 26 Triptychen, die eine nicht offizielle Geschichte aus der Zeit des Aufstiegs und Niedergangs des nationalsozialistischen Regimes in der Stadt München darstellen, aus den Erinnerungen meiner Großeltern Irmgard Kutscher und Juan Acha. Das Wörterbuch besteht aus einer Auswahl von Begriffen und Namen von A bis Z, aus denen die Autor*innen Bilder und literarische Texte erstellt haben, um eine Erzählung über die genannte historische Periode zu konstruieren. Dieses Projekt ist eine Hommage an Irmgard und betont die Dimension der historischen Wiedergutmachung für die Opfer des nationalsozialistischen Regimes sowie die der patriarchalen Strukturen, die in unseren Gesellschaften vorherrschen.

Irmgard. Un diccionario de la memoria es un proyecto que consiste en 26 trípticos que recogen una intrahistoria del periodo de ascenso y caída del régimen nacionalsocialista en la ciudad de Múnich, a partir de los recuerdos transmitidos por mis abuelos Irmgard Kutscher y Juan Acha. El diccionario está compuesto por una selección de términos y nombres de la A a la Z, a partir de los cuales hemos realizado imágenes y textos literarios hasta construir una narrativa sobre el mencionado periodo histórico. Este proyecto es un homenaje a la memoria de Irmgard y tiene una dimensión de reparación histórica de las víctimas del régimen nacionalsocialista así como de las estructuras patriarcales imperantes en nuestras sociedades.

Irmgard. A dictionary of memory is a project consiting of 26 triptychs that capture an inner history unfolding during the rise and fall of national socialism in the City of Munich. Based on the memories passed down by my grandparents, Irmgard Kutscher and Juan Acha. The dictionary comprises a series of entries from A to Z, under which we have arranged drawings and passages of text to construct a narrative about the aforementioned historical period. This project is a tribute to Irmgard’s memory and has a dimension of historical reparation for the victims of the National Socialist regime, as well as for the patriarchal structures prevailing in our societies.
