Nothing demonstrates the vulnerability of women than the special pain, confusion, and bad faith with which they experience getting older.

Overview

Reimagining Aging is a long-term research project exploring female aging through various art forms and the artist’s personal experience. The result is a series of digital photographic collages where the continuous presence of ripped torn advertisement street posters remind us, on the one hand, of the great pioneers of dècollage, and on the other hand it works as a metaphor for the passage of time.

The aim is to build a large archive that houses a narrative of middle-aged women to re-imagine contemporary representations of old age that challenge ageism. One of the great forms of discrimination in our society, behind racism and sexism.
